Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist/Mental Health Counselor
Knowlton O'Neill & Associates PC is seeking a full-time licensed clinical psychologist or license-eligible clinical psychology resident to join our West Fargo team! Do you have a passion to help improve the lives of children and their families and a desire to collaborate with other professionals in the community in a close-knit independent clinical practice?
Knowlton O'Neill & Associates PC offers competent outpatient individual-based mental health assessment and counseling at our treatment facility. Our clinic is fully staffed with support professionals that manage billing, scheduling, and office management so that clinicians can focus on quality patient care.
Qualified applicants must hold a valid license for psychology in North Dakota or be license eligible. The ideal candidate would provide comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing psychological testing and clinical interviewing. Providers will be responsible for the provision of evidence-based mental health treatments within the parameters of documented training and supervised work experience through internal or external referral systems.
Providers will be responsible for the provision of mental health care to children, adolescents, and families utilizing cognitive, behavioral, and other empirically supported interventions for clinical conditions and will have the ability to select patient conditions consistent with training and interest in building a caseload.
Common problems treated in our clinic include depression, obsessive compulsive disorders, behavioral problems, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and trauma-related disorders.
Applicants should have demonstrated exceptional clinical skills, have experience with effective time management, and strong, professional report writing and verbal skills. This position requires excellent “people” skills, including discretion, rapport, empathy, and persistence in the face of resistance. It also requires the intellectual skills to be able to conceptualize cases and effectively plan and implement treatments. Candidates must be eligible for third-party credentialing and must pass a background check.
